Homelessness has many faces. Open your eyes. Open your hearts.
Missio Nexus is partnering with Masterworks to conduct a benchmark study focused on donors who give to mission staff and when or if they convert to organizational giving.
We’re inviting Missio Nexus partners to participate.
Many mission sending organizations ask similar questions. Do donors who support staff also give to the organization? If they convert, how does that affect staff support? Is there a point in the donor journey when an organizational ask helps or creates risk?
This study replaces assumptions with shared data from peer organizations and provides clearer direction for fundraising strategy.
Participation is open to mission sending organizations that raise support for individual staff and want better insight into donor behavior and long term value.
There is no cost to participate for Missio Nexus members.
Organizations may choose to participate anonymously or opt into a free personalized report comparing their results to the overall benchmark.
Participation requires two simple data files designed to minimize lift and avoid sensitive information. No donor names or personal details are collected. All data is transferred securely, used only for this study, and removed once the benchmark is complete.
You can review the data requirements here.
A short video explaining the data and submission process is available here.
Please let us know by January 31, 2026 if you plan to participate. Data submission is due February 13, 2026.
